Donna M. Clark Hollinger, 71, of Goshen, died late Thursday night, May 14, 2009, at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient just one day. She had been seriously ill the past three months. She was born in Ligonier, Indiana on December 1, 1937, to Herbert and Katherine (Honert) Michael. She married Wallace Clark on June 14, 1958. He died February 22, 2002. She then married Jack E. Hollinger on November 26, 2004. He survives. A longtime resident of the Syracuse and Goshen area, Mrs. Hollinger worked as a cook at Mary Ann’s Restaurant in Syracuse for many years. A 1955 graduate of Syracuse High School, she was a former member of the Syracuse Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing the organ and listening to big band music. She is survived by her husband, Jack; a daughter, Lori (Steve) Howard of Goshen; two step-daughters, Jackie (Ray) Yoder of Cicero and Sylvia (John) Hicks of Athens, Georgia; two step-sons, Rex (Paula) Hollinger of Goshen and Jerry (Ada) Hollinger of Lebanon, Tennessee; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kay (Hugh) Geiger of Columbia City, Carol Barnard of South Bend, and Nancy (John) Cornwell of Indianapolis; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Price of Bourbon. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace; and a brother, James Michael. Friends may call 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, May 17, at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. James Hostetler and Rev. Eli Smucker of the Family Worship Center at the Lighthouse will officiate. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
