Donna Kay Bontrager, 76, of Goshen died Monday, August 18, 2025 at Majestic Care of Goshen.
She was born October 31, 1948 in Elkhart to Keith E. and Betty L. (Mast) Sensenbaugh.
On May 18, 1968 she married Wayne J. Bontrager at Bethel United Methodist Church in Elkhart. He preceded her in death June 25, 2015.
She is survived by a daughter, Rheann (Jim Sinclair) Bontrager of Petoskey, Michigan; a son, Niles (Melissa) Bontrager of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan; a grandson, Cole Sinclair; a sister, Barb (Steve) Wise of Bristol; a brother, Larry (Sue) Sensenbaugh of Lake Placid, Florida; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A 1966 graduate of Elkhart High School; Donna had the gift of creativity. For 17 years she volunteered putting together 8th grade plays. She adapted the novel “The Last Fling” in to a play. She enjoyed making crafts, painting and floral arranging, that she would often give as gifts. She also had a love for travel and was a voracious reader.
Donna was especially close to her “Norwalk girlfriends” and enjoyed spending time with them.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 26, 2025 beginning at 11 a.m. prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Entombment will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
According to her wishes, Donna would like memorials to be given to Dogtown Resort, 11925 C.R. 10, Middlebury, IN 46540 a pet rescue center. https://www.dogtownresortmiddlebury.com/
