Donna R. Aker

Donna R. Aker, 75, of Goshen, died at her home early Sunday morning, December 21, 2008.  She had been ill since 2001. Ms. Aker was born in Wakarusa on March 19, 1933, to Jesse and Rema (Ranstead) Schalliol.  She attended the Nazarene Church and worked at Goshen Rubber.  She enjoyed gardening. She is survived by a sister, Mary Sommers of Elkhart; and a brother, Richard Schalliol. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly J. Aker in September 2007; a sister, Beulah Strycker; and a brother, Donald Schalliol. Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 23 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
