Donald Elmer Schwartz

Donald Elmer Schwartz, 94, of Goshen, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. He was born on September 16, 1913, in Des Moines, Iowa to Rudolph H. and Anna Marie (Hockmuth) Schwartz.   He married Margaret Dorman on November 5, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa.  She survives. Mr. Schwartz worked 27 years for Penn Controls and 21 years for Western Rubber before his retirement.  He was a member of the Lutheran Church, the Eastern Star, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, Ronald (Elizabeth Ann) Schwartz of Dublin, Georgia; a daughter, Ragene L. (Edward) Fortier of Seneca, South Carolina; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl E. Richards and Raymond R. Schwartz; and a grandson, Ronald John Schwartz. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, February 1 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A procession will leave from the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. to Violett Cemetery, Goshen, for a graveside service.  Captain Jason Pollom of the Goshen Salvation Army will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Salvation Army.
