Donald Lee Richcreek

Donald L. Richcreek, 61, of Goshen, died at his home Saturday, November 27, 2010. He had health issues since a massive heart attack in June. He was born on April 19, 1949 in Marcellus, Michigan to the late Dallas and Mary (Ellis) Richcreek.  He married Margaret E. Scruggs April 30, 1971 in Middlebury.  She survives. Also surviving are children, Bill J. (Kelly) Richcreek and Tina M. (Rodney) Silcox, both of Goshen; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Doris (David) Short of Elkhart; and brothers, Danny (Bea) Richcreek of Edinburg, Virginia and David (Jan) Richcreek of Arnold, California. He attended Jefferson High School and at the age of 32 received his GED.  He served in Vietnam with the US Army from 1969-1971 and received a Purple Heart. He worked at Johnson Controls, Universal, The Goshen News and The Paper. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
