Donald “Don” E. Reed, 85, of Goshen, died Wednesday morning, November 8, 2006, at his home.  He had been ill the past month. He was born in Millersburg, Indiana, on July 7, 1921, to Clinton E. and Grace (Harroff) Reed.  He married Doris M. Garber on July 27, 1941, in Goshen.  She survives.   A lifelong resident of the Goshen area, Mr. Reed retired on July 7, 1986 from Federal Paper Board, Elkhart, after 28 years.   A member of First English Lutheran Church, he was a 1939 graduate of Millersburg High School and a former member of the Millersburg Lion’s Club.  He served with the US Army for two years during World War II.   Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Doris; a daughter, Barbara Hudson of Cuyahoga Fall, Ohio; two sons, Larry (Jeanette) Reed of Goshen and Dennis (Diane) Reed of Spencerville, Indiana; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cleo Virgil and Leah Menne.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 11, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.   A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2006, service will be held at the First English Lutheran Church, Goshen.  Pastor Gene Hollingsworth will officiate.   Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First English Lutheran Church.
