Donald J. Myers

Donald J. Myers, 76 of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, September 23, 2012, at the Maples at Waterford Crossing. He was born May 23, 1936 in Goshen to Forrest C. and Evelyn (Moody) Myers. He married Charlotte Wise October 21, 1956 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are two sons; Bryan D. (Sharon) Myers of Melbourne, Florida and Kevin D. (Jennifer) Myers of Goshen; four grandchildren, Jordyn, Jacob, Simon and Clayson Myers; two step-grandchildren, Amanda and Josh Kenney; two sisters, Virginia Heerschop of Dunlap, and Nancy Kitson of Eugene, Oregon; and two brothers, James (Jackie) Myers and Ned (Linda) Myers, both of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Edith Hartzler and Dorothy Comstock, and a brother, George Myers. Mr. Myers worked for 46 years at Western Rubber Company in Goshen, retiring in 2002. He was a member of LifePoint Church, Goshen and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Troy Scott of LifePoint Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be made to LifePoint Church.
