Donald Clyde Gard, Jr.

Donald Clyde Gard, Jr., 87, of Goshen, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at Majestic Care, Goshen.

He was born February 4, 1935 in Mishawaka, to Donald Clyde Gard Sr. and Lillian (VanKirk) Gard.

He married Joanie L. Gibson on July 29, 1967 in Nawata, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Gard is survived by his children, Debbie (Dennis) Lutz and Donnie (Connie) Gard, both of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Rick and Chuck Gard, both of Mishawaka and Tara Rerick of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Donna Hall of Granger.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Mr. Gard worked for the City of Paola, Kansas, as the chief building official.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 6, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Burial will be in Paola City Cemetery, Paola, Kansas.
