Dona P. Wilson

DONA P. WILSON (nee Groenenstein), age 88, entered into eternal rest and peace in the presence of Jesus, Tuesday, August 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She looked forward to her family reunion in Heaven.

Beloved wife of the late Richard; loving mother of 13; grandmother to over 40; great-grandmother to over 30; and friend to countless others.

Preceeded in death by her husband Richard A.; three sisters, Karen, Gay, and Rita; two daughters, Delno and Denise; and a grandson, Richard Wilson.

She is survived by three sisters, Lynn Schembre, Merle Jess and Susan Kelley.

Surviving children include Dawn Wilson, Richard V. Wilson (Brenda), Debra Klooz, Dianne Pilcher (Bob), Darlene Borling (Dennis), Donna Wilson, Dan Wilson (Gretchen), Dave Wilson (Nancy), Danae Wirth (Guy), Derrick Wilson, and Dale Wilson.

She was a strong woman of faith and passionate prayer who valued life and the love of God her Father. Known by her keen, infectious sense of humor, her warm smile, and bear hugs, she brought joy and love to everyone she met.  Dona was an accomplished artist, poet and cook who willingly shared her talents at countless family events and organizations. She was an avid sports fan and loved her Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers.

Above all, she loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves an amazing legacy few can match.

Family and friends are welcomed to attend a Prayer Service in her honor in the Chapel at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Rd., Valley City, OH  44280, Monday August 13, 2018 at 12:00 Noon with Graveside Services immediately following. A memorial mass in her honor will be held at a later date.
