Dixie Lee Richards

Dixie Lee Richards, 79, of Goshen died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was born March 3, 1943 in Goshen to Noah and Hattie (Pattison) Ganger.

On August 28, 1970 she married Roe L. Richards in Goshen. He died November 25, 2020.

Survivors include three daughters, Candy Smith of Richmond, Virginia, Kelly (Andrew) Yoder of Elkhart and Jody (Andrew Allison) Richards of Richmond, Virginia; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roe and her sister Patsy.

She enjoyed the Bible study at Sugar Grove Church and her hobbies included square dancing, bicycling, playing Pokémon GO and gardening. Dixie was a volunteer at CASA for Elkhart County.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday December 16 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.
