Dixie L. Howell

Dixie L. Howell, 80, of Bremen died Friday, February 21, 2025 at Signature Healthcare of Bremen.

She was born November 2, 1944 in Bremen to Kenneth and Velma (Sauer) Merrill.

On December 1, 1984 she married Ross Howell. He died January 29, 2008.

Survivors include four sons, Emery (Tracy) Kertai of Fort Wayne, Brad (Danielle) Kertai of Lapaz, Wade (Tracy) Kertai and Shawn (Tracie) Kertai, both of Bremen; grandchildren Corteney (Matt) Armstrong, Justus Kertai, Faith Kertai, Jesse Kertai, Matthew (Allison) Kertai, Alexis (Austin) Perkins, Ethan (Corinne) Kertai, Isabella (Beau) Hepler, Alaina Kertai, Brooke Kertai, Kristyn Kertai, Paige Kertai; and several great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, BreAunna Kertai, Donna Rousch, sister, and brother, Kenny Merrill Jr.

Dixie was an energetic woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially golf cart rides with her grandchildren and gathering every Sunday for family dinners. Dixie enjoyed traveling and being outside in nature.

Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen; followed by a graveside service at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen.
