Dianne M. Hooley, 70, of Goshen, died Monday evening, September 23, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare. She was born December 8, 1942 in Goshen to Bearl and Mary (Giudicessi) Sullivan. She is survived by three sons, Patrick, Brendan and Cullan Hooley; three grandchildren, Colden, Rylen and Cainen Hooley; and a brother, William Sullivan, all of California. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tim Sullivan. A pediatric nurse, she was an avid lover of classical music, she was a longtime member of the Moorpark Masterworks Chorale and a talented pianist. She was a volunteer coordinator at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and was recognized by former President Reagan for saving the life of one of the museum's patrons. Dianne was instrumental in the opening of Simi Valley's first drop-in homeless shelter and managed it during its initial years of operation. Upon returning Goshen in 2004, she worked as an in-home caregiver before retiring. She loved her sons very much, doing her best to instill in them her own values of charity, a strong work ethic, a love of nature and a joyous appreciation of song and dance. A November 15, 2013, memorial service will be held in Goshen and her cremated remains will be interred at Violett Cemetery. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.
