Dennis M. Thompson

Dennis M. Thompson, 71, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday morning, August 1, 2012, at Riverside Village, Elkhart. He was born September 12, 1940 in Hastings, Michigan to the late Frank and Pauline (Moore) Thompson. He married Jean Hubbard June 4, 1961 in Hastings. She preceded him in death November 1, 2008. He is survived by two daughters, Lori (Larry) Teeple of Bourbon, and Lisa (Chuck) Drake of Goshen; a son, Dennis (Dawn) Thompson, Jr. of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Ellen (Keith) Neer of Hastings, Michigan, and Karen (Rick) Pennington of Freeport, Michigan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Thompson. A longtime Goshen resident, Mr. Thompson worked for Dairy Farm Products for 35 years, most recently as a dispatcher. He was a member of the Elks Club, Goshen and a NASCAR fan. A private burial will be held at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
