Dennis D. Evans

Dennis D. Evans, 75, of Bristol, Indiana, died Friday afternoon, November 6, 2009, at his home. He was born to the late Duerill and Gladys (Wogoman) Evans on October 12, 1934, in Goshen. He married Mary Milstead on June 18, 1961, at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, Elkhart. She survives.  He lived most of his life in Elkhart County where he worked at Adam’s & Westlake, Elkhart.  He retired after 27 years of service. Mr. Evans was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He is survived by two sons, John (Amy) Evans, Todd (Dawn) Evans, both of Bristol; four Brothers, William (Betty) Evans, Bristol, Phillip Evans, Bristol, Jerry (Sally) Evans, Goshen, Roger (Ginger) Evans, Goshen; three Sisters, Delores (Vern) Stewart, Santa Marguerita, California, Devere (Ralph) Elmore, Goshen, Diane Maloney, Porter, Texas; one Brother-in-law, Bill Hoover, New Paris; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Hoover. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 11, memorial service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with the Reverend Lore Blinn Gibson officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
