Demah Helen (Ingalls) Hobson passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
From her birth in Worthington on February 15, 1932 to her death on Sunday, she nourished people around her with love, compassion and her wicked sense of humor. She was an avid reader, took great pride in her home and loved spending time with her grandchildren. “To know her was to love her.” Beautiful memories of her will live on in our lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers.
In 1950, she married Lt. Carroll Hobson and quickly became a Navy wife, moving to different Navy bases throughout the country. She and her husband made Goshen their home in 1958. Demah was a stay-at-home Mom who devoted her life to her family. She was much loved by her family and her circle of friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, three children and their spouses, Marilyn Rodibaugh (George) of Victor, New York, Richard Hobson (Teresa) of Elkhart, Kim Strycker (Jamie) of Wakarusa, seven grandchildren, Jon (Jennifer), Joe (Stephanie), Jennifer (Ian), Tyler (Dakota), Philip, Abbey, Alana and five great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Humane Society of Elkhart County.
