Delores A. Troyer, 76, of New Paris, died early Wednesday morning, July 9, 2014, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, after an extended illness. She was born December 18, 1937 in Cherokee, Iowa, to Fred and Louisa (Peters) Koth. On August 18, 1957 she married Richard L. Troyer in Alta, Iowa. He died November 12, 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Jo (Mike) Yoder and a son, Rick (Lisa Chrisman) Troyer, Jr., both of Goshen, ; three grandchildren, Chad Troyer, Mindy (Adam) Thwaits and Holly Yoder; two great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Simon Thwaits; a sister, Malinda (Frank) Thies of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and a brother, Marlin (Ada) Koth of Gilroy, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Bernice Koth, LuEtta Prescott and Gladys Lillie; and five brothers, Harlan, Wilbert, Arnold, Frank and Freddy Koth. A New Paris resident since 1956, Mrs. Troyer worked at Homecrest Corporation until her retirement in 2003. She was a very active member of Faith (Trinity) Lutheran Church, Goshen, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 am., Saturday, July 12, 2014, funeral at Faith Lutheran Church, 202 S. Greene Road, Goshen. Pastor Jim Ward will officiate. Burial will follow in Whitehead Cemetery, New Paris. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
