Delores J. Miller

Delores J. Miller, 85, of Goshen passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born July 21, 1938 in Marshall County to Daniel V. and Mary (Mullet) Yoder.

On November 5, 1961 she married Perry J. Miller in Nappanee.

She is survived by two daughters, DeLane (Terry) Graber of Goshen and Mary Beth (John) MacKinnon of Falls Church, Virginia; and five grandchildren, Erin (Bobby) Sessa, Andrew Graber, Lindsey Graber, Jack and Carter MacKinnon.

Also surviving are three sisters, Jean (Howard) Miller of Nappanee, Lorene (Ed) Raber of Millersburg, Ohio and Rose (Larry) Mullet of Nappanee; three brothers, Danny (Pat) Yoder of Goshen, Larry Yoder, and Wayne Yoder both of Nappanee; and a brother-in-law, Eli Mast of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Perry, sister, Betty Mast and brother, Enos Yoder.

Delores and Perry did voluntary service in Salem, Oregon at Western Mennonite High School for two years. She continued serving others while raising her family. She was custodian at Benton Mennonite Church for many years and worked for Goshen College in housekeeping. She was also involved with the former MDC Goldenrod program, now a part of ADEC.

Delores was a people person who enjoyed making connections with people whether on family trips or supporting her grandchildren in their many activities. She would find a friend everywhere she went. Even as her dementia progressed, she kept her caregivers entertained and on their toes.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service, Saturday, May 18 at Benton Mennonite Church, 15350 C.R. 44, Goshen. Pastor Becky Helmuth will officiate.

Burial will take place at Benton Lutheran Cemetery, Goshen.
