Delores B. Detwiler

Delores B. Detwiler, 90, of Goshen, died Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Goshen Hospital.

She was Born February 11, 1933 in Osceola to Robert C. and Laura M. (Eger) Smith.

Delores was married December 26, 1954 to Ellis M. Detwiler at Pleasant Valley Church, Osceola. He died October 27, 2005.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Trudy (Edward) Bontrager, Goshen, Denise (Keith) Stutzman, Manton, Michigan, Martin (Cindy) Detwiler, Howe, Dana (Scott) Drumm, Warsaw and Kelvin (Monica) Detwiler; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother, Bernice Gaugler, Marguerite Atkinson, Betty Cocanower, Robert Clem Smith, Jr. and Mildred Smith.

Delores worked as a cook’s helper at Model School, Goshen, had a Goshen News motor route and worked at Johnson Controls, Goshen.

She attended Christian Fellowship Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Craig Garber will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Goshen Health Auxiliary.
