David Rouch, 64, of Goshen, died suddenly April 9, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical, Toledo, Ohio.
David was born June 24, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up travelling the country with his parents George and Margery (Raver) Rouch, and siblings while his father was in the Air Force.
David married Linda Wilson Aug. 10, 1975 and they have two children, Rebekah (Mike) Hazekamp of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and Bethany Rouch of Cincinnati, Ohio. His love for his family was apparent to all who knew him and most recently he had begun to share his love of baseball with his grandchildren Kaylee and Alex Hazekamp. David loved playing games and cards with family and friends.
David was a graduate of United Electronic Institute, Louisville, Kentucky, earned his Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Indiana University -Kelley School of Business. Previously he worked at Cummins Engine in Columbus. Recently retired as Quality Leader from Dometic Group, David and Linda were enjoying spending more time travelling together. They recently visited Florida and Georgia and enjoyed visiting with old friends and family. They also enjoyed hiking in state parks and biking rails to trails.
David was very active at Trinity Lutheran in Elkhart where he was a member. He was a Stephen minister and served faithfully as a Eucharist minister among many other volunteer activities at the church. He had a love of studying the Bible, reading and considered himself a life-long learner. His love and commitment to Christ was evident to those who interacted with him.
Surviving family include his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his siblings Deanna (Jim) Vest, Galveston, Gregg (Lynn) Rouch, Alexandria Louisiana; Neal (Beth) Rouch, Galveston; Scott (Helen) Rouch, Morocco and Amy (Matt) Daniels, Huber Heights, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, April 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a 12, noon funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 30888 C.R. 6, Elkhart. Rev. Spencer Mielke will officiate.
Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery, Galveston.
