David Lee Richards

David Lee Richards, 52, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away May 19, 2013 from a heart attack. He is survived by a daughter, Kayla Rayanne Clark, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a granddaughter, Ella Jae Metzger, of Goshen; his parents, B. Franklin and Ruth Richards, of Goshen; a sister, Brenda Cole and a niece and nephew, Sarah and Kevin Cole, of Nolensville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua David Richards. A 1979 graduate of Goshen High School, David took great pride in being a member of the Goshen High School football team that won the 1978 state championship. He was also an avid New Orleans Saints fan. A 25 year resident of Gulfport, he was an active member of the Handsboro Baptist Church where a memorial service was conducted May 27, 2013. A private burial was held at West Goshen Cemetery. A memorial luncheon with family and friends will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Shanklin Park Pavilion, Goshen.
