David L. Piehl, 71, of Goshen died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Courtyard Healthcare.
He was born October 18, 1946 in Warsaw to Francis W. and Nellie L. (Tiede) Piehl.
On June 28, 1975 he married Mary Miller in Goshen.
She survives along with four children, Kristina (Greg) Batten of Rochester, Gabriel (Katrina) Piehl of Hampton, Virginia, Sara (Brent) Hurley of Goshen and Kathryn (Casey) Cobb of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Sandy) Piehl of South Bend.
David worked at Allis Chalmers, LaPorte; Clark Equipment Machinery, Battle Creek, Michigan and Lexington, Kentucky; prior to retirement. He then worked as a sales representative for Menards.
He was a member of 1st United Church of Christ, now known as Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Goshen. He was also a member and former commander of V.F.W. Post #985, was a Scout Master of Troop 12, New Paris, and a Goshen Band Booster.
Friends may call Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 9, 2018. Pastor Terry Miller will officiate.
Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.
