David Lawrence Penland

David Lawrence Penland, 59, of Goshen, died early Wednesday morning, December 24, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital.  He had been ill since October 26, 2008. He was born in Garrett, Indiana, on February 5, 1949, to Jack and Marion (Kuhn) Penland. A professional truck driver with Yellow Transportation, Mr. Penland attended Goshen High School with the Class of 1967.  He was a member of Teamsters Local Union #710; the USGA and the PGA. He is survived by two daughters, Jodi (Eric) Stouder of Huntington, and Kelly (Jarvis) Hunt of Goshen; a son, Steven Penland of Farmington, Maine; five grandchildren; a brother, Randy Penland of Goshen; and ex-wife and caregiver, Barbara Penland Garcia. There will be no visitation or services. Memorials may be made to Center for Cancer Care.
