David Cervantes

David L. V. Cervantes, 43, of South Bend, died January 20, 2024 due to injuries sustained in a house fire.

He was born February 19, 1980 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary Cervantes Garcia and Jose L. Garcia, Jr. of Elkhart; a son, Maximus J. King; and seven siblings, Gabriel, Michael, Jose III, Nicholas, Amanda and Alexandra Garcia, and Manuela Fraire.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elias Garcia.

David was an avid Michigan University athletics fan, if Michigan was playing, David was watching it somewhere. He enjoyed playing video games, bowling, and billiards.

We will greatly miss you, love you always, and until we meet again.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, February 29, at 1 p.m. at Sugar Grove Church.
