David Allen Adkins

David Allen Adkins, 18, of Goshen, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, from injuries sustained in a car accident on Wednesday. He was born in Goshen on August 26, 1991, to Henry and Melanie (Hayes) Adkins of Goshen. Also surviving are grandparents, Nancy Hayes, Kenneth Secore, Sue Adkins and Marvin (Penny) Adkins, all of Goshen; aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Marc Harris of Allen Park, Michigan, Angela Hayes, Lee and Sherry Adkins, Timothy Barrick, Peggy and Jamey Payne, Wade and Crystal Sowers, Quincy and Aaron McLeod, Billie Adkins, Daisy Adkins and Sabrina McCloud all of Goshen, and Michelle Adkins of Elkhart; and great-aunt Carol Ann Hayes of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Jim Wilson, Betty and Henry Estes; grandfather, Wayne Hayes; uncle, James Adkins; and cousin, Tim Kinney. A machinist apprentice, he had worked at Mishawaka Sheetmetal. His passions were skateboarding and music.  David was an organ and tissue donor. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, July 26, and 27, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010, funeral service will be conducted.  Pastor Ron Spyker of Jefferson Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
