Darryl G. Elrod, 77, of Goshen died Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

He was born November 10, 1943 in Brooksville, Kentucky to Paul and Beatrice (England) Elrod.

On October 5, 2002 he married Annabelle Dejan.

He is survived by his wife and mother along with six children, Glen (Tara) Elrod of Alaska, Jacob (Brittany) Elrod of Kentucky, Rachael (Joe) Hitzler of Florida, and Joanna, Phillip, and Faith Elrod, all of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy Carnes of Ohio, and Linda (Tom) Wagoner of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Charles Elrod.

Mr. Elrod was a consumer safety inspector for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, retiring after more than 40 years of service.

A faithful servant of God, he also served as pastor at G.L.I.O.M. in Elkhart. He enjoyed Bible study groups, liked watching basketball, and enjoyed listening to country Gospel music.

Visitation will be Monday, August 9, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at G.L.I.O.M., 422 W. High St., Elkhart.
