Darlene M. Richards

Darlene M. Richards, 84, of Goshen, died Thursday afternoon, May 15, 2014, at Greencroft Goshen Healthcare after suffering a stroke. She was born May 6, 1930 in Galien, Michigan to Dayton O. and Mary V. (DeFleager) Cripe. On May 6, 1953 she married Calvin Richards in Goshen. He died Sept. 2004. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Hite of Goshen; a son, Kirby Richards of DeKalb, Illinois; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Chester Cripe of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Don, Elmer and Harold Cripe; and a sister, Esther Hostetler. A homemaker, Mrs. Richards was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
