Darcy Brandt, 71, of Goshen, died Monday, August 24, 2020, at home from mesothelioma that was diagnosed July 1.
He was born February 28, 1949 in North Newton, Kansas to Waldo and Avis (Unruh) Brandt.
On July 31, 1971 he married Wendy Hochstetler in Goshen.
She survives along with two children, Lucas Brandt of Goshen and Emily (Micah) Hicks of Middlebury; three grandchildren and two sisters, Flauretta (Bob) Dalke of Buhler, Kansas and Sharon (Rick) Oswald of Pinellas Park, Florida.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Loralei Grace Brandt.
He graduated from Newton High School in 1967. Darcy came to Goshen in 1969 during the Vietnam War to do his 1W service at Goshen Hospital. He was a member of First Brethren Church and the Goshen Elks.
Darcy worked in the RV industry from 1971 to 2020, most recently at Keystone RV.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 30, 2020, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and on Monday from 12 until the 1 p.m. funeral service at First Brethren Church, 215 West Clinton Street, Goshen. Pastors Cory Smith and John Drexler will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Brethren Church, Goshen.
