Danny Howard

Danny Howard, 69, of Elkhart died Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his home of natural causes.

He was born January 23, 1956 in West Liberty, Kentucky to Clayton and Pauline (Lykins) Howard.

He is survived by two daughters, Denna (Steven) Brown and Misty (Carl) Brown, both of Elkhart; and three grandchildren, Misty and Carl's sons, Tyler and Gavyn Brown and Denna and Steven's daughter, Makynnah “Kenny” Brown.

Also surviving are a sister Deloris J. (Michael) Kelley, Milford, and brothers, Bob R. (Inez), Elkhart, and Larry D. (Brenda) Howard, Goshen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Pauline Howard, a sister, Norma Gay Elam, and brothers, Tommy Jay, Clayton, Jr. and Michael Howard.

Danny has been a resident of Elkhart County since his family moved here when he was 13. A hard-working man, he provided for his family in so many ways, not only monetarily but sharing with them his love of music and using and teaching his “handyman” skills to help with many projects. He also enjoyed rebuilding and restoring older vehicles.

He was a man of faith and a loving dad and “papa” who will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025 from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service at Word of Truth, Milford. Michael Kelley, brother-in-law, will officiate.
