Danny L. Helton

Danny L. Helton, 65, died unexpectedly of natural causes Sunday, February 8, 2026 at his home.

He was born August 28, 1960 in Benham, Kentucky to Curtis and Fern (Creech) Helton.

They preceded him in death along with his wife of almost 32 years, Robin (Lamb) whom he married November 15, 1987. She died in October of 2019.

Survivors include five children, Jennifer Smith of Corbin, Kentucky, Chelsie Castillo-Perez, Jamie Helton and Richard (Kevin) Peters all of Goshen, and Daniel Helton, Elkhart; seven grandchildren Elijah, Alexander, Johnathan, Tyr, Orion, Athena and Jayden; and great-granddaughter, Alayla.

Mr. Helton worked in the general merchandise department for Meijer area stores. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in nature. He loved being a grandfather and spending time with his grandchildren.

Danny loved a good cup of coffee and listening to “oldies” rock ‘n roll from the 1970’s.

Mr. Helton will be transported to Harp Funeral Home, 572 S Main St, Jellico, TN 37762 where the family will hold services on Friday, February 13, 2026. Visitation will be from10 a.m.until 12 p.m. graveside and burial at Douglas Cemetery, Jellico.
