Dannie E. Bell

Dannie E. Bell, 74, of Goshen, died peacefully Friday evening, September 30, 2016.

He was born May 30, 1942 in Warsaw to Theodore Sr. and Margaret (Pease) Bell.

On November 21, 1986 he married Carol Schermerhorn in Elkhart.

She survives along with a daughter, Michelle (Jason) Hunter of Goshen; a step-daughter DeAnne Kilmer of Goshen; two adopted sons, Steve and Jerry Bell also of Goshen; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia (Chuck) Wilson of Goshen; and a brother, Theodore Jr. (Sherry) Bell of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Franklin and Harry Bell.

A U.S. Army veteran, Dannie served two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He worked at Middlebury Molding, which is now L.P. Corp., for 33 years as an extruder operator retiring in 2008.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 985 and life member of the D.A.V. Post 15.

Visitation will begin Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. prior to the 1 p.m. the funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Timothy T. Yoder will officiate.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Intrepid Fallen Hero’s Fund.
