Daniel T. Yoder, 81, of Goshen, died Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015 after an extended illness, in the home that he built.
He was born May 2, 1934 in LaGrange County to Tobias and Ada (Mast) Yoder.
On March 5, 1955 he married Doris Boyer in Goshen.
She survives along with their children, Douglas (Brianna) Yoder of Elkhart, Debra (Matthew) Hay of Chandler, Arizona and Denise (Randy) Kerns of Valparaiso; four grandchildren, Matthew Hay, Jr., Alexa Beaubien, Christopher and Cassandra Kerns; five great-grandchildren; six sisters, Effie Troyer of Goshen, Mary Troyer of Plain City, Ohio, Ida (Lester) Beachy of LaGrange, Alice (Ezra) Yoder and Ada Mae Yoder, both of Shipshewana and Esther Miller of LaGrange; and two brothers, Clarence (Ideana) Yoder of Goshen and Ernest (Edna) Yoder of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Susie Lehman and Anna Yoder; and four brothers, Amos, Ervin, Raymond and Levi Yoder.
Dan was a woodworker in the R.V. industry at both Carriage and Woodland Park.
He was a member of People’s Bible Church, Benton. He enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 28, 2015 one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Family friend, Rev. David Hinman of Gilbert, Arizona will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
