Daniel E. Stacker

Daniel E. Stacker, 83 of Goshen died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Waterford Crossing Healthcare.

He was born March 31, 1935 in Goshen to Harold and Mary (Haney) Stacker.

He was married to Sharon Nelson for 35 years.

Survivors include his children, Stephen (Kandy) Stacker of Blacksburg, South Carolina, Edward (Diane) Stacker of Mishawaka, and Marcia Dowty of Goshen; a brother, Donald (Phyllis) Stacker of Granger; a sister, Bethany (Dan) Stryker of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Korey, Kristopher and Karmen Stacker, Daniel and Benjamin Stacker, Stephanie Sherman, and Bradley Dowty; and seven great-grandchildren, Karissa, Emily, Jacob, Kendra, Mckenna, Hayleigh and Kadyn.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kollen Stacker.

A lifelong area resident, Dan was a member of Teamsters Local #364 for 32 years.  He worked for Proof Company, Bartow Cartage, and Preston Trucking, retiring in 1998.

Dan thought the world of his family.  He enjoyed watching all level of sports from high school to professional and was an avid IU basketball fan.  He also enjoyed fishing and being in nature.

By his request there will be no public visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 11 am to 1 pm at First Brethren Church of New Paris, 19076 3rd St., New Paris. Bring your memories to share. A light lunch will be served.

Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
