Daniel A. Nisley, 86, of Bristol, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Goshen on March 2, 1924, to the late Amos J. and Saloma (Miller) Nisley. He married Elizabeth Hochstetler on November 6, 1945. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Danny (Lori) Nisley, Sr., and Kevin (Angel) Nisley, both of Elkhart; a daughter, Janice (Jim) Morgan of Stanton, Virginia.; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three siblings, Irvin (Lizzie) Nisley of Pinecraft, Florida and Lydia Ann Eash of Fort Myers, Florida., and Olen (Katie) Nisley of Goshen. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Adams and a brother, Jonas Nisley. A Bristol resident since 1960, Mr. Nisley was a member of the Bristol Missionary Church. He retired in 1989 as foreman from Parkwood Homes. He had also worked for Stewart Coach. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10:00 a.m., funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Terry L. Powell of the Bristol Missionary Church officiating. Burial will follow in Vistula Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Bristol Missionary Church.
