Daniel Hochstetler, 89, of Goshen died late Saturday afternoon, April 7, 2007, at his home. He was born June 20, 1917, in Exland, Wisconsin, to Rudy and Elizabeth (Thomas) Hochstetler. He married June Warner on November 18, 1947, in Morocco, Indiana. She survives. A Goshen resident since 1995, Mr. Hochstetler retired in 1979 from the former Penn Controls in Goshen as a press operator. He was a member of the Christian Fellowship of Goshen. He served with the Navy during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters, Elizabeth Kay (Carl) Creech and Vicki Rae (Larry) Koskie, both of Goshen; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Barbara (Ammon) Yoder of Goshen. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lydiann Miller and Katie Hochstetler; and three brothers, Ben, Irvin and Henry Hochstetler. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2007, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Craig Garber of the Christian Fellowship of Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Missionary Press or Goshen Hospice.
