Daniel F. Delcamp, 82, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at IU Health Goshen Hospital after an extended illness. He was born April 1, 1932 in Goshen to Robert Ray and Nancy Jane (Smith) Delcamp. On February 19, 1955 he married Pattie Lee Rookstool. She survives along with two daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Wilson, of Elkhart and Pamela (Drew) Lalor, of Bradenton, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Jane (Wayne) King, of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Delcamp attended Goshen High School and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and the VFW Post #985. He was active in Boy Scouts of America, serving as a scout master, and the Kiwanis Goshen Sunrisers Club where he had served as president. He became a fireman in 1962 and served as Fire Chief from September 1977 to 1980, retiring in 1983. He was instrumental in establishing the EMT program. During and after his time as a fireman, he owned Delcamp Photography and did carpentry and woodworking, specializing in kitchen restorations. Friends may call Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 funeral service at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Goshen. Pastor Susan Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Arthritis Foundation or Goshen Boys and Girls Club.
