Dana Franklin DeBoard, 69, of Victoria, Virginia and formerly of Goshen, passed away February 13, 2017, in Richmond, Virginia.
He was born May 20, 1947 in Sharon, West Virginia to Gerald and Ella (Payne) DeBoard.
He is survived by three children, Elizabeth (Dallas) Price, Anita (Charles) Sickle and Dana (Ann Marie Biovert) DeBoard; six grandchildren, Roger Sickle, Charles J. Staton, Jessica sickle, Jacquelin (David) Staton, Stephanie Sickle and Ella DeBoard; six great-grandchildren, Alexis Ponce, Isaiah Flores, Owen Guzik, Jaelynn Sickle, Mollie, Sickle and Cole Staton and two siblings, Jerry (Jean) DeBoard and Lois Staten.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Kenneth DeBoard and Betty Wilson.
A retired Chief Petty Officer of 20 years with the U.S. Navy, he lived in Victoria, Virginia, enjoying the simple life of the mountains and raising cattle. He leaves behind many friends.
A 1 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 military graveside service will be held at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen, with Pastor Jason Kincaid officiating.
