Dan Richard Leek, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2026, at his home.

He was born on December 9, 1945, to Richard L. and Audrey (Berkey) Leek, in Elkhart.

Dan married Ann Bowser on September 3, 1966, in Elkhart.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann; his mother, Audrey; daughter, Shannon (Bill) Young, Goshen; grandsons, Tyler Plank, Cody Plank, Garrett Thomas; sisters Linda (Gerald) Cline, Nappanee, Janet (Tom) Dull, Union, Michigan, and Marica (Tom) Sommers, Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and daughter, Mindy.

Dan graduated from Concord High School in 1963. After graduation, he joined the US Army in 1965 and was commissioned in 1966 and deployed to Viet Nam in 1967. He was discharged in 1971.

Dan spent his career as a general manager in the RV industry. He attended Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church where he served on the board, sang in the choir, and he enjoyed other positions within the church ministry. He volunteered at LoveWay, Inc. for 10 years.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and the funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Kent Eby will officiate the service.
