Dallas N. Morrison, Sr.

Dallas N. Morrison, Sr., 76, passed away Sunday evening, May 3, 2009, at Goshen General Hospital.  He was born to Sam and Beulah (Burgess) Morrison in Seville, Ohio, on February 24, 1933.  He married Patricia Smith in Barberton, Ohio, on July 17, 1953.  His parents have preceded him in death while his wife survives. A resident of Goshen since 1970, he was the manager of Carter Lumber in New Paris.  He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and golf.  He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Sharma Spicher of New Paris, Indiana; one son, Dallas N. (Debra) Morrison, Jr. of Warsaw, Indiana; two grandchildren, Michael Morrison and Jeffery Spicher; one sister, Francy (Robert) Miller of Wadsworth, Ohio; and one brother, Keith Morrison of Jacksonville, North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gregory Morrison. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A 12:00 p.m. funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home with Rev. John Drexler of the First Brethren Church of Goshen officiating. Burial will be at New Paris Cemetery in New Paris, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made out to American Lung Association.
