Dale C. Wenger

Dale C. Wenger, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Friday, June 19, 2009, at his home. He was born in South English, Iowa, on July 21, 1917, to Clark and mamie (Cook) Wenger.  He married Twila M. Swartzendruber on June 20, 1946, in Manson, Iowa.  She died December 28, 1996. Mr. Wenger graduated from South English High School and from Goshen College in 1934.  He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Iowa City, Iowa.  He had worked for LaPlante Choate, Beverly Cattle Company and Rockwell Collins where he retired in 1982. He is survived by a daughter, Marilyn (David) Derstine of Souderton, Pennsylvania; two sons, Ron Wenger and Galen Wenger, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and a granddaughter, Andria Derstine of Oberlin, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Paul and Daryl Wenger. Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
