Dale L. Royer, 84, of Goshen, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his home. The death was unexpected but of natural causes. He was born October 28, 1927 to the late Henry and Dora (Metzger) Royer in Clinton County, Indiana. On January 10, 1954 in Greenville, Ohio he married Gladys I. Cool. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Leonard) Meador of Rossville and Diane (Doug) Reavis of North Manchester; three sons, Allen (Patricia) Royer of Goshen, Mark (Lou) Royer of Modesto, Calfornia, and Melvin (Barbara) Royer of Marion; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Artus Royer of Goshen. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson Conner in 2009 and a brother, Harold in January of 2012. Dale retired from Precision Industries, formerly Federal Press in 2002 as a machinist. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Friends may call from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 9:00 a.m. prayer service will be conducted Friday, June 1. Funeral services, conducted by the Home Ministry, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Goshen. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.
