Dale Eugene Mast

Dale E. Mast, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at IU Health Goshen Hospital where he had just been admitted. He was born Oct. 6, 1938 in Goshen to John Yost and Alice (Detwiler) Mast. On March 6, 1965 he married Bonnie Anglemyer in South Bend. She survives along with three children, David E. (Bobbie) Mast, Goshen, Kathy (Ben) Leinbach, Wakarusa and Stacey (Terry) Bird, Elkhart; five grandchildren, Andrew Mast, Elizabeth (Fred) Patterson, Jonathan Leinbach and Kathryn and Alicia Lantz; four great-grandchildren, William Mast, Mollina Valyannah and Hadyn and Emma Patterson; two sisters, Maryetta Johnson, Mishawaka and Carol Ann Lockwood, Kalispell, Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dale graduated from Goshen High School in 1959. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and participating in running competitions until age 55. A machine operator, Dale worked at Johnson Control for 44 years, retiring in 2006. He served with the Army National Guard for 25 years. He was a member of the Goshen VFW and the Michiana Porsche Club. Friends may call Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
