Dale R. Kauffman

Dale R. Kauffman, 60, of Goshen, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, as the result of a traffice accident at College Avenue and US 33 in Goshen. He was born May 18, 1947, in Goshen, to Fred S. and Ruth (Miller) Kauffman.  He married Sandra J. Schertz on September 12, 1970 in Goshen.  She survives. A member of Waterford Mennonite Church, Mr. Kauffman worked at Kountry Wood in Nappanee.  He had also worked at Swartzendruber Hardwood Products, Goshen, from 2000 to 2006 and Crown Audio in Elkhart from 1970 to 2000. A 1965 graduate of Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg,Virginia, he did 1W Service at Elkhart General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a son, Kevin (Vickie) Kauffman of Goshen; three daughters, Tina (Jeffrey) Laws of Granger, Lori (Denver) Anthony of Wakarusa and Jodi Kauffman, a student at EMU; three granddaughters, 1 grandson and two step-granddaughters.  Two sisters, Eunice (Ernest) Kraybill of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Leanna (Paul) Beiler of Bergton, Virginia; and four brothers, Elroy (Miriam) Kauffman, Glenn (Mary) Kauffman, and Lowell (Phyllis) Kauffman, all of Harrisonburg, Virginia and Lyle (Rhoda) Kauffman of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, also survive. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 31 at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Pastors Neil Amstutz and Tina Schlabach, both of Waterford Mennonite Church will officiate. Burial will be in Baintertown Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Waterford Mennonite Church.
