D Ellen Lukeman

D. Ellen Lukeman, 75, of Goshen, died Tuesday afternoon, September 1, 2009, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born in Miami County, Indiana, on July 4, 1934, to the late Abe and Susan (Troyer) Keim.  She married Donald L. Lukeman on August 23, 1958, in Goshen at the Eighth Street Mennonite Church.  He survives. A Goshen resident since 1952, Mrs. Lukeman worked in healthcare for Goshen College, High Park Physicians and Greencroft.  She was a member of the College Mennonite Church and a board member for the Mennonite Relief Sale.  She had formerly served on the Spring Brooke board of directors.  She enjoyed antiquing, family vacations and watching her grandsons' sporting events. She is survived by her husband, Donald; a daughter, Stephanie (Stephen) Priem of Bristol; two grandsons, Andrew S. and Tyler C. Priem; a sister, Elsie Troyer of Greentown and a brother, Rev. Ray (Clara) Keim of Berne. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Katie Kauffman, Leona Miller  and Susie Sommers; and a brother, Alvin Keim. Friends may call 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, September 5 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and from 3 to 4 p.m., at College Mennonite Church, Goshen. A 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at College Mennonite Church.  Rev. Klaudia Smucker and Rev. Gary Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gene Yoder Nursing Scholarship Fund at Greencroft of to the Northridge High School Athletic Fund.
