Crissie "Maxine" Archer

Crissie Maxine Archer, 91, of Goshen, passed away early Monday morning, December 12, 2016, at her home.

She was born March 17, 1925 in Goshen to Noble C. and Freda M. (Sheley) Vance.

On September 4, 1942 she married Roy R. Archer.  He died October 5, 2012.

She is survived by two daughters, Tana Penland and Carolyn Bogucki, both of Goshen; a son-in-law, Larry Bray of Milford; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a daughter, Marilyn Bray; a son, Jon Archer; three brothers, Allen, Willard and Everett Vance and two sisters, Beulah Roose and Helen Hill.

A lifetime Goshen and Milford resident Mrs. Archer was active in the D.A.V. Auxiliary, serving as state commander from 1989 to 1990.  She also volunteered as a 4-H leader.

Friends may call Monday, December 19, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A private burial will take place at a later date in Violett Cemetery.
