Craig W. Zentz, 75, of Goshen, died Monday, November 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 28, 1947 in Goshen to Donald W. and Betty (Haberstich) Zentz.
On December 22, 1968 he married the love of his life, Patricia Jean Kilmer in Goshen, and they would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this year.
His wife survives along with three children, Brett Zentz, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jason (Mindy) Zentz and Carrie (Aaron Ridge) Hill both of Goshen; seven grandchildren, Gracie, Sage, Emma, Katie, Kendall, Chloe and Annika and three brothers, Kevin B. (Christine) Zentz and Brian C. (Margaret) Zentz, both of Goshen and David M. (Margie), Avon.
His working career included over 50 years in insurance, beginning as an underwriter. Later, he partnered with his son Jason and started Coaches Insurance Agency in Elkhart. Craig was well known for his coaching career which spanned over 30 years and included Goshen Junior Football League, Goshen High School basketball, Fairfield High School golf and was a League Director of Goshen Slow Pitch Softball. He was an avid golfer, enjoying golf trips with his wife Pat.
A US Army veteran, he served in Vietnam in 1969.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 23 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 25.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery with military honors.
