Corabelle Dickison, 76, of Goshen, died Monday evening, June 12, 2006, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born October 25, 1929, in Jackson Township, Elkhart County, Indiana, to Earl G. and Ruth (Brock) Swoveland. On September 5, 1948, in Goshen, she married Kenneth D. Weaver. He died in 1973. On September 20, 1980, she married Charles Dickison at the Goshen City Church of the Brethren. He survives. Mrs. Dickison, a lifetime resident of the county, worked as a secretary at Farmers’ Mutual Aid Association for 32 years before retiring in 1995. A 1947 Goshen High School graduate, she was a former member of the New Paris Church of the Brethren and a member of the Goshen City Church of the Brethren. She was also a former member of the New Paris Homemaker’s Club, former Commander of the Goshen DAV Auxiliary. She bowled in the Kegler’s Koeples Mixed Bowling League. She is survived by her husband Charles; a daughter, Karen D. Smith of Goshen; two sons, Ricky D. (Sharon) Weaver of Newport News, Virginia and Donald C. (Janice) Weaver of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two step-daughters, LeAnn Dickison of Shipshewana, Indiana, and DiAnn (Al) Clevenger of Hopkins, Michigan; and a step-son, Craig (Karen) Dickison of Goshen, Indiana. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stanford (Peg) Swoveland of Goshen, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth D. Weaver; three sisters, Ruby Fry, Hazel Defreese and Flossie Hoover; and three brothers, Grover, Orlie and Earl Junior Swoveland. Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2006, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Tim Yoder of the Goshen City Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris. Memorial contributions may be made to Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
