Cora "Corky" White

Cora 'Corky' White, age 89, Goshen Indiana, went home to be with the Lord September 13th, 2026.

She was born on February 3rd, 1937, in Thomas, Oklahoma, to John B. And Fanny (Miller) Detweiler. She married Wayne L. White at her parent's home on October 12, 1957.

Before attending Life Point Church in Goshen, Indiana, she attended Tri Lakes Community Church in Bristol, Indiana, where she taught third and fourth grade Sunday school, was an usher, a cell group leader and was active in Vacation Bible School.

Cora volunteered at the B.A.B.E. Store in Elkhart, Indiana, was a homemaker, sometimes employed, and bowled many years. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, fishing, photography, traveling, reading and studying her Bible. Cora especially loved being with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Elmer, Leroy, John, Melvin, Ivan, Freeman, and Irvin Detweiler; and sisters, Jane Bontrager, Alice Wiederman, Mary Miller, Sally Van Fleck, Pearl Bontrager and Susie Stutzman.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Mark) Lambert; son, Greg White; grandchildren, Travis Lambert, Trevor Lambert, Winston White, Danielle (Paul) Deneau, Kendall White and Emily White; and great-grandchildren Logan, Atticus, Ada, Penelope, Madelyn, Aniston, and Sagan.

The viewing will be at Yoder Culp Funeral Home in Goshen, Indiana at beginning at 10:00am, Monday, September 21, 2026, followed by the funeral at 12:00pm.

Following the service, a funeral procession will proceed to Mottville Township Cemetery, in Mottville, Michigan, where she will be laid to rest.
