Cora Nisley Martin

Cora Nisley Martin, 97, of Goshen, died Saturday afternoon, October 15, 2011, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born Jan. 4, 1914 to the late Andrew and Catherine (Yoder) Slabaugh. She married Ray Nisley in 1933. She then married Earl Martin in 1959. He died May 16, 1978. She is survived by three daughters, Edna Drudge Krull of Elkhart, Doris (Gene) Grable of Churubusco and Ruthann (Jack) Hertig of Elkhart; two sons, Omer (Ida Mae) Nisley and John (Nancy) Nisley, both of Goshen; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wilma (Jess) Hostetler, Nappanee, and Inez (Roy) Helmuth, Goshen. She was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. A homemaker, Mrs. Martin was a lifetime area resident. Friends may call one hour prior to the Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Troy Scott of LifePoint Church, Goshen, will officiate. Entombment will follow in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorials may be given to LifePoint Church Memorial Fund.
