Connie R. (Hoover) Mahaffa, 65, of Goshen, passed away on March 17, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1960, in Goshen to Floyd and Esther (Rheinheimer) Hoover. On June 26, 1982, she married the love of her life, Mike Mahaffa and together they built a life intentionally filled with love, laughter and grit.
Connie lived a life centered on caring for others. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in her family and deeply cherished her role as a grandmother to her eight grandchildren.
Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family. Connie faithfully cared for her parents and was actively involved in her church’s youth group, where she made a lasting impact on many young lives. She and Mike enjoyed traveling together, and she loved collecting rocks, finding beauty in life’s simple things.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren Macy Lehman and Airin Mahaffa Thompson.
Surviving are her husband, Mike Mahaffa; her children, Julie (Andy) Lehman of Millersburg, Kim (Avi Donough) Mahaffa of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Lisa (Josh) Mahaffa Thompson of Portage, and Mindy Mahaffa of Goshen; her eight grandchildren; and her brothers, Rick (Celena) Hoover, Steve (Janet) Hoover, and Kirk Hoover and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association and Hope Mommies Northern Indiana Chapter.
Connie will be remembered for her fervent spirit, servant’s heart, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
