Conner Knoal Sargent

December 26, 1999 — August 4, 2016

Conner Knoal Sargent, 16, of Middlebury, died Thursday afternoon, August 4, 2016 at his home.

He was born December 26, 1999 in Evansville to Rick and Hollie (Hammerstein) Sargent.

They survive along with a sister, Eva Sargent; and grandparents, Mike and Barbara Hammerstein of Evansville, Terry and Culver Hunt of Elkhart and Jack and Beth Sargent of South Bend.

A junior at Bethany Christian Schools, Conner was a member of the Debate Team and the Golf Team, volunteered as a technician for dramas and served as manager and was a player for the boy’s basketball team.  He was a member of the Mishawaka Pilots’ Club and Mishawaka Air Activities and just finished solo clearance for the second and third airports.

Conner was wise and compassionate beyond his years.  His understanding of people and his compassion for people was rare for any person, let alone someone so young.
